Culinary Nutrition Cooking Class Schedule
Cindy Santa Ana, Integrative Nutrition Health Coach and Culinary Nutrition Expert, will be leading four exciting and fun cooking classes this fall.
Registration is open! Space is limited!
You'll learn how to use food as medicine that also tastes amazing! Every recipe uses organic ingredients that are dairy-free, gluten-free and sourced locally. Vegetarian (V) as noted. Saturday, Sept. 9 Hormone Balancing Foods (V) EVENT IN THE PAST - HELD AGAIN, WINTER 2018
How to Lose Weight, Gain Energy & Feel Great Again - We'll discuss how to know if your hormones are out of balance (most everyone's are), what foods to use and what lifestyle protocols to implement to bring your body back into balance. We'll be sampling a Maca Milk Thistle Elixir, a Pumpkin Rooibos Elixir and learn how to use flax seeds and chia seeds in recipes. We'll make and sample a Cauliflower and Coconut Red Lentil Dal.
Saturday, Oct. 14 Fundamentals of Fermentation (V) Catch the next one in Spring!
Learn how to make Homemade Kombucha and Fermented Veggies (includes a hands-on portion and take home ferment). We'll discuss all things gut health, leaky gut and if you need to take probiotics. Take home your own Fermented Vegetable project!
Saturday, Nov. 11 Plantiful Eating in the Fall (V)
Gather lots of ideas for healthy Meatless Monday meals. Make veggies your main squeeze, not just some side action! I'm sharing my favorite side dishes for Thanksgiving too! We'll enjoy seasonal vegetables and turn them into filling meals! Menu: Butternut Squash Curry, Brussels Sprouts Salad, Veggie Stir-fry with Kelp Noodles
Saturday, Dec. 9 Gluten-Free Eating and Healthy Holiday Treats (V)
Learn why gluten-free is important, how to avoid it and discover some great baking tips while we make some delicious holiday favorites! We'll dive into the mistakes that most people make when going GF and how you can make this diet work for your body. Discover all of the different GF flours, how to use them and how to enjoy a treat without the guilt!

Classes are recommended for ages 12 and up.
Weather policy: If a class is canceled due to inclement weather, you will receive a full refund.
You must cancel within 3 days of a class to receive a refund.
A minimum of six is required to run a class and a maximum of 12 is allowed.
Classes are mostly tastings and not full meals.
Please refrain from wearing perfume or any personal care product with fragrance.
Walnuts, cashews and almonds may be included in some classes. If you have specific allergies, please let me know before you register. NO peanuts will be used, however. All food is gluten- and dairy-free and mostly local and organic.
